Becoming a master of search engine optimisation (commonly referred to as 'SEO') is not something that everyone wants to achieve in reality. While it sounds like a cool thing to be, the amount of hard work that goes into being a master is not something that most people want to put in (or even need to put in). Most people (in reality) are perfectly happy with having a reasonable knowledge of SEO and are happy as long as their online business is profitable and as long as they are achieving their goals and living the life they want to lead.
For those that do want to take things a step further, read on. Becoming a master of SEO means that you can get a site ranked on the first page of Google for almost any keyword. The benefits of this are obvious, and it's something that most people can only dream about. Sadly there's no 'magic formula' for becoming an SEO master overnight. You must simply join as many SEO forums as you can and read as many posts as you can whilst at the same time creating a whole load of sites and testing them against each other to see what works best.
Since Google's algorithm that works out where each site is placed in the rankings is a secret (and is changing all the time) it is up to each person to work out what works and what works best for them, as oftentimes something that works well for one person doesn't work for you, and vice versa.
